Hello my dear friends of all over the world!
I wish to share you a little about Switzerland. Small country but I'm proud of it!
Even if Switzerland is in the middle of Europe, it's a "rebel country"! We're not in the Europe Union. Our dear neigbours are : France, Germany, Austria, Italy and Lichtenstein.
We are well known for our good chocolate, cheese, watches and knifes.
There is four languages spoken in Switzerland (official) Most of Swiss speak Swiss! ha! well, here we say "swiss-german". when somebody greets you in swiss, it's never the same. That because every canton have their own dialect, even if all understand each other. Where I live, canton of Bern, you will hear: Grüetzi, wie geitz?
Than people speak french, and that mostly on the west side of switzerland. "Bonjour, comment ça va" is "good day, how are you". And on the south, close to Italy, there is the canton of Tessin. Tessin people speak italien. Well, yes. I prefer to say they speak "tessinish" coz there is differences.
At the east side, near Austria, people speak in Romanch. I know only one single word in that language, and it's "Allegra!" that means "hello" or "good day". It seems like a happy language!
Switzerland is splitted in Cantons, like USA in States and Canada in Provinces. The capital is Bern.
There is a lot of big mountains, The Alps, that we share with France, Italy and Austria.
I love to live in Switzerland. It's a peaceful country with beautiful pictures. I like to go for long walks in the forest. You won't meet a lot of wolf, or bear, because they got all killed years ago. Now they are protected animals and the governement is trying to re-introduce those dissapeared animals in the nationals parks. I wish them good luck.
Now I could say way more, but I have friends that will have a pleasure to complete the story!
Be blessed people of God!
Noémie
