How is it to be Christian in Egypt?
Someone here told me how it could be difficult, and wearing for the faith, to live in this country.
Egypt is a muslim country.
Christians in Egypt are Coptic Orthodox for the most, a Church borned in the year 40's by the apostle Marc. Christianism was in egypt before the Islam appears. Today it's between 15 and 20% of the population.
Nowadays, unfortunately aggressions and threats become more usual against the believers, and churches are burned or force to stop the activity. Christians cannot apply for specify jobs (army, police...).
Unfortunately again, when the law reconize the facts, the jugde at the court is a muslim...
Christians represent a tiny minority in the gouvernement, who proclaim itself democracy, but do as much to shut up the Christian voice.
I red that there is no week without a Christian murdered...
Do Christians are persecuted in Egypt? Living in some area is surely difficult, or dangerous. This topic is open to learn more about this situation.
